Gainesville Area Neighborhoods with Amenities

When prospective buyers call us up, we usually start by asking them to list off what they’re looking for in a new home. Budget, square footage, number of bedrooms and bathrooms; What else is important to them? Do they want a home that’s newer or a fixer-upper that they can make their own? Do they want a big kitchen or a big back yard? Often times when a buyer is drawing us this picture of their dream home they’ll say “I want to be in a neighborhood or community with lots of amenities!”

Let’s talk about amenities and what they mean when house hunting. Amenities usually start out with a neighborhood pool and maybe a clubhouse. Tennis courts, basketball hoops, sometimes a dog park, a playground, even a golf course. The great thing about these amenities is that they usually have some kind of key or fob to make them exclusive to its residents and you can enjoy them whenever you want (within the community’s rules of course) without having to worry about the upkeep and maintenance by yourself. Trust us - your HOA fees are probably less than paying a pool boy or girl.

In the Capri subdivision of Northwest Gainesville, which we did a Market Spotlight article on a few months ago, you get to use the clubhouse once a year for free, or as included in your HOA fees.

At the Turkey Creek Golf Course & Community, just an arms reach away in Alachua, they just about any amenity you could want. Of course, as the name suggests, the golf course. After being closed for the last few years, residents of Turkey Creek and golf lovers everywhere are anticipating the Grand Re-Opening of the Turkey Creek Golf Course, set to reopen later this Spring. Additionally, they have a community pool, tennis courts, clubhouse, playgrounds, community mail center. They’ve got it all. Check out our Savvy Powered website for more information. TurkeyCreekAlachua.com  With plans to re-open the golf course underway, Buyers: If you are interested in making the Turkey Creek Community your new home, NOW is the time!
