Ex Butler leasing manager joins forces with Celebration Pointe

March 8, 2021

Over the past three years, REI, Sephora and The Cheesecake Factory each joined the west Gainesville retail scene. Now, the leasing manager who helped bring those chains to the Alachua County seat has signed up for an even bigger project.

The Zall Company, headed by President Stuart Zall, will assist Celebration Pointe in leasing space at the shopping center adjacent to I-75.

According to Zall himself, his company had a hand in reaching deals with 29 different retail chains and restaurants to set them up at Butler. Now having separated from a prior partnership with Butler, Zall told the Gainesville Sun that he doesn't view Butler's properties as rivals, but instead as different components that help make up the overall market.

As of publication, Celebration Pointe is currently approximately 93% leased out, so the goal for Zall is to get the last 7% of space matched up with tenants. And as the Gainesville Sun first reported, Zall has a specific vision for how to do so. Zall told the Sun that he intends to replicate his approach for Butler with Celebration Pointe: he wants to add new flavors to the Gainesville retail scene by bringing in businesses that had not previously set up shop in the city.
